Music in Tollywood - Boisterous Noise
Tollywood is known for producing prodigies and soul soothing
musicians. There were great personalities such as Tyagaraja, Annamacharya,M.
Balamuralikrishna were born in Andhrapradesh and contributed in
the music arena. We had movies purely based on music such as Shankarabharanam which
later on turnout to be as cult classic and would probably be referred to
as master piece. The erstwhile renowned music directors had created magic
in composing soul soothing music for the people which enthralled them for a
long time. Even now, the classic songs were being heard and the appreciation from
the music lovers is relentless. However, I do see a downfall in the quality and
content of the music in telugu film industry. Its not a sudden decline but the continuous
adoption of western music inappropriately by the contemporary music directors.
Their lack of knowledge in the music segment coupled with their reckless
composition has resulted in creation of common din. The modern music directors
do not give significant importance to the quality of lyrics and they themselves
would add lyrics which would annoy the people with great respect of lyrics. If
we do not oppose music directors who want to pummel their listeners with their horrendous
composition , we are bound to see nothing but noise pollution. There might be a
law in the long run by the government to crackdown on music directors indulging
in extravagantly infuriating music. Music is for soulful happiness and not to
shatter their peace of mind and acerbate their heartbeat and create distress.
Let us join the movement to boycott music directors who are creating noise
pollution in the eco-system and allow only who deserve to be entitled for
composing music and enthralling the people.
