Decline of Movie Entertainment Industry – India

It appears that entertainment industry is dwindling as the movie theatres empty, and there is no demand from the consumers as well. The consumers have become more prudent in terms of watching movies as they are easily able identify the movies that are produced in India as to its original version. The movie lovers are more interested in watching the Hollywood movies because of their creativity, technical brilliance and unimaginable experience that they undergo while watching movies. Its quite surprising to see Hollywood movies such as Avatar, Interstellar doing great box office collection posing threat to Indian movies. Is this the beginning of end of the Indian movies as they are unable to compete with Hollywood Film Makers? The tastes, preference and advancement in the culture, or perhaps adopting the western culture is also an influencing factor in denouncing Indian movies. Let us not forget the Indian film makers copying the technical brilliance, at times the core story line from Hollywood, to quote one example Ghajini . It’s an eye-opener and wakeup call to Indian film makers to come out with creativity and innovative concepts to enthrall the film lovers. Otherwise, the dooms day for Indian movie seems to be imminent. This may take few years but there must be a sincere effort from film makers in India to scale up in content and technology while unleashing their works on silver screen. I think this message is received in a positive manner for the benefit of the audience and for existence of the Indian film Industry
