Yennai Arindhaal – A Cop and Gangster thriller Movie - Review

The basic plot of the movie depicts the atrocities of Gangsters, and the kind of efforts the police unleashes to clamp them down. Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar plays the role of an IPS officer as Sathyadev , Arun Vijay plays the role as head of the Gang as Victor who indulges in crimes of organ trade, human and Drug Trafficking . Nazzer is the father of Satyadev , who was trying to voice his concern and urges the hotelier to inform to police about a person being killed in the hotel by the rowdies. The goons would notice about this and in turn kill Nazzer as well. This would have conflicting thoughts in satyadev whether to become part of the Gang or to choose a righteous path to dismantle the gangsters who killed his father. Sathyadev disguises himself as a prisoner in the jail and gets befriended with Victor, and also he saves Victor from a dangerous attack from inmates. Victor is released from the jail along with Satyadev, and Arun Vijay tries to get employment for satyadev from an organized gang. It provides an opportunity for Satyadev to destroy some of the gangsters being part them. This creates kind of animosity between satyadev and Victor, and he would be looking up for opportunities to take retribution against him. Trisha Krishan plays the role of Hemanika as a dance teacher who is already a married woman. Satyadev falls in love with Hemanika and convinces her to
get married with him.  Hemanika is being killed prior to her marriage with satyadev, this would have caustic impact on satyadev.  Anushka Shetty plays the role of Thenmozhi, and she happens to meet Ajith in the flight.  She would get attracted to Ajith and wants him to be her life partner.

 Victor had made a deal with Suman who is a rich guy needs a heart transplant. In order to discharge his obligation, Victor would kidnap a small girl, which is busted and rescued by satyadeve . Subsequently, Satyadev would get to know about the ploy of Victor to kill Thenmozhi as well and his bid to extract the heart for transplant. Thus, the core of the movie is about how Satyadev would rescue his child, and Thenmozhi from the gangsters.

The most captivating aspect of the movie is about the exchange of dialogues between Satyadev and Victor. The one-liners and punch dialogues have been well written for the movie which adds color to the entertainment part of the movie

Ultimate Star Ajith has expressed subtle emotions exceptionally well, and has increased the intensity as the situation demanded during the dialogue deliveries. He has played a tough IPS officer role  in the movie.

Arun Vijay is the true revelation in the movie as he has got an opportunity to exhibit his true talent, despite played the negative role. There is every possibility his skills would be extracted by the directors in the subsequent movies.

The role of Anushaka Shetty and Trisha Krishan seems to be limited, which might be ideal as the movie is thriller cop story. Vivek played his part as well but the humor isn’t as per the expectations.

Harris Jayaraj has given a reasonably good music and his background score enhances the thrilling experience.

Goutham Vasudev Menon  is master of  thriller movies, he has proved his mettle in his previous flicks such as Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, Khaka Khaka movie. This movie is no exception to this, and he is also good in blending the right amount of romance and action.

Prince Mahesh Babu - A R Murugadass new movie

There is  a huge expectation from the film industry about the new combination of suecessful director A R Murugadoss and Prince Mahesh babu. Mahesh babu has failed miserably at the box office in his previous film Bramotsavam. He seems to be pinning hopes on the maveric director A R Murugadaoss. There has been lackluster movie being released and disappearing from the theaters. We need to wait and see whether we could see any novelty in the movie to be completed by this combo. If it meets the expecations should be enought to shatter the box office and the fans are already deprived and feeling let by the previous movies.
